Bordstabletter/ Placemats

De hemgjorda bordstabletterna/ The home made placemats

Jag tyckte att det blev jobbigt med att putsa bort allt kladd från bordet när jag pysslade, så jag bestämde mig för att göra bordstabletter eller underlägg att ha på bordet. Jag hade en gammal väggkalender med häftiga bilder på 40- tals filmaffisher som jag sparat "ifall om" och det var ju tur! :). Man behöver även något att ha till bakgrund som till exempel gamla tidningar, bokplast och tejp till kanterna.

1. Klipp ut bilderna/ Cut out the pictures

In english:
I needed placemats for my crafting table. I was tired of always having to clean up the sticky mess after gluing something etc. So I made some placemats from an calendar with pictures of film posters from the 40's, old newspapers, adhesive plastic sheets and some tape.

2. Klipp även passligt stora bitar av bokplasten. Klistra fast bilderna på bokplasten och sätt t.ex. en tidning på som bakgrund. Plasta även in baksidan ifall att underlägget skulle råka bli vått på undersidan.

2. Cut the adhesive plastic into the size pieces you want for your project. Stick your pics and a background of your choice to the plastic. I recommend that you also cover the back of the placemat with plastic. 

Tejpning pågår/ Taping in progress

3. Tejpa runt kanterna med tejp så det inte slipper in vätska i "sömmarna". Detta förstärker även bordstabletten så att den blir stabilare och inte går upp i kanterna.

3. Tape around the edges to prevent moisture from getting inside of the placemat. Taping also makes the placemat more stable.

Köksbordet/ Dining table

MEEEEEN om du har lyckats med ditt project kommer sambon att säga "dom där kan vi ha i köket, dom är ju snygga" och då hamnar dom där! :D

BUUUUUUT if you have succeeded with your project your fiance will say "those are nice, we can put them on the dining table" and that's where they end up! :D
